Visual Foxpro’s Destiny
May 31, 2007I'm really sad about the announcement of Microsoft that they will not continue developing Visual Foxpro. I was waiting this past few months if this facts will change and I guess its hopeless. And even petitions and appeals from different visual foxpro users all over the world to Microsoft can't really change their decisions on Visual Foxpro development.
I'm just hoping that Visual Foxpro can still survive after being abandoned by Microsoft. I hope Visual Foxpro will have an openFoxpro later that can be used in Linux/Unix-based systems.

Thanks jBarry, I’ll try to look on it, I’m downloading its binary package right now, thank you and God bless!

You can try Dabo
Quote from site: http://dabodev.com/
” Dabo is a 3-tier, cross-platform application development framework, written in Python atop the wxPython GUI toolkit. And while Dabo is designed to create database-centric apps, that is not a requirement. Lots of people are using Dabo for the GUI tools to create apps that have no need to connect to a database at all.”
Dabo was created by two long time FoxPro developers.
